Default Project tools

It would be great if you could get your hands on Project Tools. Just a shame to drop it into vb.org. Hate to see how many versions will be out there.

Scott,
Can you tell me what product you are referring to? Is this the same project tool from vBulletin?

Thanks!

Mark

I doubt that it will be released in any form on vb.org will it? Even with the vB 4 suite of products I've not seen any mention of this or plans to release it elsewhere. That said I would be interested to know if you have been using it and what you find useful.

Thanks

Mark

Wayne confirmed that Project Tools will be released on vb.org and they will not continue with the product. This opens it up to everyone right?

Interesting. I hadn't heard that. I guess it really depends on the licensing that they release it with. I would be surprised though if they granted anyone license to redistribute any of their code as part of a paid product. Do you know when they will be releasing this?

Also, can you give me an idea how you were or would use this?

Thanks!

Mark

They did not give a date on the release. I am assuming at the launch of 4.0. I was also told that we will not need to delete the PT product when upgrading because it will still work with 4.0 Gold.

I use the project tools for: Forum Development Project Tracker, Forum Tech Help and Support along with an organization that uses it for their website, forum and organization projects. The organization chose to have me set the permissions to view the PT by their board of directors user group only.

I think it is a very slick product with many potential uses.
