The number of images per garage (22) is currently fixed in Garage Plus. If we were to extend it how many images would be desired and into which sections would they be added?

Our ShowCase product allows you to define how many images per section along with what type of information you want to capture. It is geared for sites that want to offer a lot of detail for whatever type of interest they want to share with each other. Effectively a ShowCase could be a garage but most often they are used for other items like wheels, aquariums, diving equiprment, etc. depending on the focus of the site.

Best regards,

Mark

In addition images can be added to text block areas so long as the IMG bbCode is supported by the site. There are no limits to the number of images that can be added into these sections. However, any images placed in the text blocks are not in the DTO Garage Plus image folders. Links to these images could be broken or hit quota limits from an image hosting site.

Thanks for pointing this out Nathan. Its something that I often forget about.

With bbCode support you can really embed anything that you have bbCode extensions for. For example you can embed YouTube video, images, music, etc. as long as you have the add-ons to extend the bbCode set.

One add-on we've used with good success is AME.

Edit: In my original post I mentioned AME. We have used that in other areas of the site but Nathan just told me that AME is limited where it will work in vBulletin installations. Unfortunately it does not currently work when attempting to embed images in Garage entries. That said other bbCode extensions should extend what you can display in the text areas of your Garage. Here is a list of bbCode extensions on vb.org that should help. There are extensions for YouTube, PDF, and more.
