Garage with vb 3.x to Garage Plus with 4.x? - Drive Thru Online - Support

So right now I have garage installed but disabled it when I did the 4.0 upgrade in vb. Now that there is the plus version compatible with 4.x will it work going from garage to plus? I was thinking of getting plus just before I upgraded so am considering it again now, but want to make sure that I wont lose the old data that users have entered.

It should upgrade without issue. I do, however, always recommend that you backup a copy of your database prior to doing any type of upgrade to your site.

Also, prior to upgrading to Garage Plus, make sure you walk through the steps in the documentation. One of the steps includes installing a permissions product file since Garage does not honor any type of permissions related to the number of garages per usergroup. Thanks, I purchased Garage Plus, didn't want to spend the money at first (I'm Cheap) lol, but my users really liked it when I had the Garage feature and were actually requesting multiple garages. So rather then wait longer I decided to go for it.
The upgrade/Install worked flawless. Old garages were still there.

Only recommendation I would have for documentation is in the "upgrade from garage to garage plus" section at the end add a link to the normal install section where it talks about template mods. I was missing this at first then saw someone else mention about templates, unless I just didn't read close enough

Its working great, and now with plus I can also give some incentive to have users donate by offering them additional garages as a thank you for donating to my car club.
