Default Ability to use album images

Its one thing that is keeping me from buying this product. Our users already have uploaded their images to their vBulletin profile albums so there is no need to ask them to yet again upload those same images and then have duplicates. Its redundant.

The user should have the option to include whichever vBulletin albums they wish to have in their garage. When this feature is available I'll be glad to purchase it.

Thanks for the feedback. There were actually three reasons I chose how our product works relative to images.

The first is that when I first developed Garage there was no album infrastructure within vBulletin.

The second is that because you can create multiple albums the question becomes how to associate which albums and photos to garage content. Given the logic and additional interfaces that would need to be created to support this I wanted to keep it simple.

The third is relative to quotas placed on albums. I wanted to insure that users could always upload images into their garages and not have decisions, such as needing to delete images in albums in order to upload new images into a gallery, break the displays within a user's garage.

Hope that helps provide some background on the path that I took in developing the product.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Mark

Understandable but the product should evolve with the product it is designed for.

Its simple, let the users decide which albums to add to their garage.

This should be left up to the end user running the forum. Any site that would be using the garage would have people using the albums to store images related to the topic of the site already. With sites such as Picasa and Flickr users have plenty of alternatives to store their images that do not fit into the forums topic.

Users can use those images already uploaded as well. They would just use the url of the image to add it to the garage.
