Default Only for Clubs?

Hi,

great idea, but i think it would great to have more categories like clubs, hotels, bars, bistros, restaurants, markets, shops, fitnessclub´s etc. and not like know only for clubs.

like a business directory, manageable by the owners with the DTO Vendor Tools. A combination of the two addons, that would really great.

Are the products phrased or not? ( i like german ;-))

Chris,
Thanks for your post. Clubs evolved out our experience developing automotive sites and was geared originally out of that need. Now that site owners are starting to work with our products we're seeing lots of possible mash-up opportunities.

Currently our products are not yet fully phrased. We're currently working on the next iteration of the Garage Plus product and it will be fully phrased so that the site owner can translate into the language of choice. Our goal is to have all products fully phrased before the end of the year (if not sooner).

Thanks!

Mark

I'm interested in using it for something other than a club directory. English is fine.

Is it now possible to change the headings, "Club," "Club Website," "Coordinator," etc.

This would be good if we could use it for alternate subjects.
My site is local, so it sort of is the club. lol
No clubs inside the club.. but maybe locations/info - tracks for racing, or whatever each needs are.?
Maybe even hot spots near a location too.? (Categories)

Let me know if this is possible, or what would need to be done to tranform it into something else. which templates, etc.
As of now my Clubs is disabled. :(

You haven't answered the question of whether or not it is possible to use the DTO clubs module for anything other than Clubs? For example I would be interested in DTO Clubs if I could change it from clubs to STores. So a trade organization for example could have retailers self register their stores in a store directory.

Sorry, thought I have answered that in the email.

You can change the text "Clubs" to anything you like. The product is fully phrased. There are some small template modifications and one change to a php file that would need to be changed as well.

We recommend that if you are to make these changes in the product that you document your changes as updates will over-write the files and reverse the changes.

Default Monetizing

I'm looking at a bunch of different ways to organize and monetize my site. Is there a way to charge clubs/entities that register, maybe like a subscription/membership?

One idea is to tie the ability to register a new entity to the vB subscriptions. They pay and are promoted to a user group that has the ability to register a "Club".
