There needs to be a fully integrated/compatible with other mods type solution to classified ads on a forum. I thought that could be vbclassifieds, but apparently it has been discontinued and no longer available. The only other mod available that I am aware of is by the Photopost people. As far as I can tell it is lacking on features that I think would be nice.

Specifically, I want to be able to have some sort of a credit system such as vbcredits (which is compatible with several other mods...eg casino, etc.) that can be used to "charge" for ads. Thus in order to run ads, a member must be active enough to earn credits through posting, logging on, rating threads, etc. It would also be nice to be able to charge real money for some ads, or some types of ads.

I've been waiting from someone to make a classifieds system that is similar to the MOD system on vB.org. When a new ad is created, the first post is the classified itself, and then the thread ensues underneath it. This ensures that a conversation could take place and as changes are made, the ad is bumped. Seems simple to me, but I am no coder.

Any classified system should include support for prefixes- Wanted/Found, For Sale/Sold, For Trade/Traded.

Count me in on this request also. A good classified page is a must have for car related forums. I've been using vbClassifieds for the past few years and will lose it when I go to vB4.

I would be interested in this too. I've been looking at some of the options out there but have been reluctant to make the commitment as I haven't been overwhelmed with any of the options. I'd like a way to charge a registered member and also have it built into the benefits of a paid subscription and they can post for free.
