Technical Support Engineer

Crawlability, Inc. is looking to add a Technical Support Engineer to its vBSEO Total Support Team to help better service the needs of it's ever-growing customer base.

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a member of the vBSEO Total Support Team, it will be your task to:

• assist customers with technical issues relating to the vBSEO product line via ticket
• be a familiar face on our forums, assisting customers with general SEO and vB-related topics
• act as a moderator for forum management, spam clean up, etc
• assist customers with critique requests of their websites
• collaborate with other staff on 'level 2' issues
• perform installation and upgrade services on customer websites
• monitor our in-house TweetBoard service
• create technical articles and how-to's that will provide self-help for our customers

Technical Requirements:

• 3+ years experience working with vBulletin and vBSEO software
• 5+ years working with PHP, MySQL, CSS, (X)HTML, JavaScript, XML, Regular Expressions (regex), .htaccess and other linux settings files such as php.ini, my.cnf, etc.
• Knowledge of a variety of web servers, including Apache, IIS6/7, nginx, others and their specific "mod_rewrite" methodologies
• Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Previous Customer Service/Support experience with a high level of "soft skills"
• Project or other management skills preferred
• Knowledge of other bulletin board systems is a plus

Candidate Requirements:

• 18+ years of age
• Fluency in English is a must; English as a first language preferred, but not required
• A modern computer connected to high-speed broadband internet with Skype, various web browsers, FTP client, Telnet Client, RDP client, code editor, and other basic office tools are required and not supplied by the company
