Default Seo..?

Can anyone tell me what merit this has..?
Do not Buy VBSEO, Waste of Money!

I understand "to each his own", but i have come to trust you guys here at DTO, so im curious what your opinions might be.

More important than bashing vBSeo, im curious as to the other steps he explains..
There are 9 steps that all seem to be pretty legit (except maybe removing "Powered by vBulletin" or is that a good idea also.?), but i want other outside opinions.

Thanks :)

We use vBSEO on all of our sites.

The steps outlined on that site are all well and good and most of us could easily handle performing them.

What I like about vBSEO is the support. Every time I've had an issue they have quickly helped me to resolve it even when it's me doing something stupid. This save countless hours searching for fixes and lets me concentrate on running my site, not looking for obscure issues.

Sitemaps - I'm sure there are other options for creating and submitting sitemaps to the major search engines. I know that vBSEO Sitemaps work. They help to tell Google and the others I have a valid site out there that has constantly updated content. I see stuff from site show up in Google Alerts within hours of posting. I'd like to think that vBSEO and their methods have helped get my site to the point that Google deems it a site to crawl often.

The people at vBSEO also keep track of SEO trends and distill a lot of the information out there. This helps me as a site owner as I don't need to become an SEO expert tracking that stuff all the time.

Sure, all the stuff vBSEO does can be done manually, but it is my opinion that for the cost there is value in turning this important aspect to the pros.

We like enough that we include vBSEO rewrite rules in our documentation for our clients to use.

Hope that helps
